The project involves the design of 130 guest rooms including suites, the lobby and meeting rooms, gym, 1 rooftop ballroom, as well as the introduction of a deck pool-side bar restaurant at the hotel. The 18-storey Brixe Hotel building is designed by collaboration of a group of architects: Architect Femi Yu and the Tancor Architects team - a studio established by Architect Wilbur Tan - for the Tancor Realty and Development Corporation. This post only focuses on the interiors of the hotel,  although our team carried out a complete exterior and interior planning to create the 130-room luxury hotel in the heart of Cebu's business district.

The design seeks to modernise the interior. Such concept can be first seen in the lobby where the furniture takes pride of its place. The architects integrated contemporary furniture, material finishes, and component glass panel dividers to make the space look spacious, while it functions as reception, lounge, cafe, bar, and buffet restaurant all located in the ground floor. Marble floors are installed across the ground floor, alongside wood, glass and metal panels. The space was opened up to create a seamless flow between the lobby and the restaurant and bar, with floor-to-ceiling glass-and-metal screens used to create subdivisions. The illuminated designer chandeliers suspended from the ceiling on the lobby above the lounge introduces a contemporary element that accentuates the drama of this space. The hotel's guest rooms aim to make the most of light and views provided by the horizontal bands of windows wrapping the building. The rooms are intended to be warm and homely, with upholstered beds and furniture. Wood is used to line the walls.

A small gym is equipped with running machines, aero-bikes and workout equipment. The restaurant and bar on the ground floor have been designed to create a more informal atmosphere, featuring flexible seating and the sofas/dining tables. Several meeting rooms on the fourth floor aim to provide warm and formal spaces with a domestic feel. The rooms are furnished with chairs, which introduce colour and texture to the otherwise muted interiors.

The main highlight of the hotel is the infinity pool, skydeck restobar, and a huge banquet hall hosting events and ceremonies at the roof deck where it brings life and relaxation to the guests. Not only are the hotel rooms expanded through communal large decks and terraces, but nature is brought inside in every possible way. Wood paneling, stone decorations, lush greenery, swimming pool - these are the elements employed to release the tension of hotel guests. Wood additions, inspired decorating items, carpets, curtains, modern technology - all these adds up to a memorable stay.
