‘Architecture is inhabited sculpture.’ – Constantin Brancusi

The proposed 630 sq.m. FLC Event Center is another extension building in the FLC complex site located in Mandaue, Cebu, PH. As the economy and population in the city is increasing, so are big event organizations. Major function halls within the city center are getting fully-booked, resulting to the lack of structures to house big important events. This building serves as a function hall for major events: a performance, event, convention, exhibition venue center.

It’s a booming time for convention center construction and renovation throughout the country. While the building is designed to hold as many people as possible, it is also strategically designed to be functional, beautiful, and efficient. It features a glass facade and mood lights, playing up architectural elements and showcasing exposed 3D columns and a long roof overhang. From the front entrance and lobby to the bathroom facilities and main hall/mezzanine dining area, the beauty and aesthetics of the convention venue are as important as functionality. The new facility is designed to better integrate into the city’s urban core and reflect the spirit of Cebu, having a more open design that includes large windows and features that reflect the city and nearby establishments.
