Flipping back to the Lapu-Lapu Tiny Home Project in Mactan, Philippines. We went to the extremes to make efficient use of this skinny house at only a 31 sq. meter lot area. This multi-storey space had to be functional and inspirational in each room. The key design tip to take away here is the "semi-mezzanine" loft level to house the beds, thereby increasing the useable space in the residence.  The top-heavy home is divided into a number of small spaces with different vertical volumes: high ceilings for communal spaces such as the living, dining and kitchen area on the first floor and lower ceilings for bedrooms at the loft.
